Signal Converter SICO3M

The signal converter SICO3M is a universal converter for voltage signals, digital (frequency) signals, logical signals (requires optional extension), signals from a serial port and signals from up to two Controller Area Network (CAN). The acquired signals can be assigned to any output of the SICO3M. These are voltage signal outputs, digital signal outputs (e.g. frequency), logical signal outputs (requires optional extension), signals for up to two CAN and signals which are passed on to a host PC via a further virtual/physical serial port. The SICO3M FD additionally supports up to two CAN FD.

Before using the signal converter, it must first be set up. This is done by defining a parameter set with the PC program TEMES (for Windows XP or better), and then by transferring this parameter set via a serial connection. TEMES also provides means to calibrate a voltage signal either at one known point (offset adjustment) or at two known points (two-point calibration). After everything is set up, the signal converter can do its job without necessarily being connected to the PC.

The .NET4 application CALIB-V1.0.5.EXE can be used to newly calibrate the SICO3M. The command line program BAUDRATE.EXE can be used to change the SICO3M baud rate to a fixed value after a reset. This is especially useful if you want to communicate with the SICO3M via a Bluetooth RS232 converter.
